Potters strike target Loic Remy's proposed move to Marseille has been called off, after the hitmans medical uncovered a heart problem.
Remy, 23, had agreed terms on a £13m move to the French giants after deciding against moves to Premier League sides Tottenham, West Ham, Liverpool, Blackburn and Everton who all expressed their interest in signing the highly rated once capped hitman.
The Potters were the first team in England to take their interest one step further when, after going over to France to told preliminary talks with Remy, they flew him over to have a guided tour of the training ground and Britannia Stadium but the deal never really progressed from that time.
It is unclear whether the defect is enough to force Remy to have to quit football altogether or whether it is just too much a risk for Marseille to pay £13m for the striker.
