The Stoke boss insists he is too busy getting his players ready for the final against Manchester City on Saturday at Wembley to be bothered with history.
George Latham was the last Welsh coach to win the trophy with Cardiff in 1927 when Englishman Fred Stewart was manager.
Eighty four years on, Pulis is on the brink of something special.
He admitted: "I do not even think about things like that. The biggest thing now as you get closer to the game is preparing the players and making sure they their minds are on the final.
"The most important thing is focussing on the game and winning it. The rest of it then follows. That is massive for us. You hope the Gods are with you."
