Vale boss Micky Adams has been suggesting that a game against the Potters would help the struggling club financially and although Pulis has not dismissed the idea entirely, there would be ‘hoops that need jumping through’ before it could go ahead.
Pulis said: "The only way of getting that on would be to get the police to agree and obviously all the stuff that goes with it.
"I've never been involved in a local derby; I've done it with Crewe and Stoke but not Port Vale and Stoke. People tell me you'd have to go through the right process first so I'll leave that to the politicians."
