The 47 points that Stoke have just finished on is not the highest total they have had so far, but Pulis is happy with their progress in the Europa League as well as another good FA Cup run.
But putting the ball into the net still remains a problem and Pulis hopes to address that in the summer with a striker on top of his shopping list.
"It's been a fantastic season in lots of respects when you look at the experiences we've had,"said the Stoke boss.
"Without doubt, we would have beaten 47 points if it hadn't been for all the other matches.
"I also think we've actually done better in the last 10 games than our results have shown. Going back to the Tottenham game when they equalised late on, performances have been really good.
"But we haven't had the breaks and not taken the chances we've created - and that is something we have to look at."
