Pulis Pleased For Noel-Williams

Last updated : 17 January 2004 By Mad Reporter
Noel-Williams returned to the Potters side having missed the FA Cup replay defeat against The Dons on Tuesday night and duly obliged by scoring the game's only goal early in the second half.

"I thought we had enough chances in the last five minutes of the first half to win two or three games, never mind just this one, and when it is happening like that you wonder whether or not it will happen.

"But I am pleased that Gifton scored. He is a terrific lad and has been going through a barren spell. That goal will help lift him."

Pulis also said that he would look at the video of the game before commenting on the brawl at the end of the game that saw Potters midfielder Richard Johnson shown a red-card.

"We will look at the tape," he said.

"I'm not going to get involved talking about things that we can watch when everything has cooled and calmed down.

"We are just very, pleased to have won a game of football and it is another three points for us."
