Stoke City manager Tony Pulis believes the transfer fees being paid by the top clubs will have a knock-on effect throughout the Premier League.Liverpool and Manchester United have already paid in excess of ?15m for Jordan Henderson and Phil Jones from Sunderland and Blackburn respectively.
"It's going to be an active market and an expensive market this year," Pulis told BBC Radio Stoke.
"The top six clubs are all looking to spend. That always filters through."
The Stoke boss continued: "Sunderland have sold big, Blackburn have sold big and there will be other clubs who will have a little bit of money in their pockets to go out and buy players.

"I expect it to be a very difficult market but a market where there will be a lot of movement."
Stoke, who were FA Cup runners-up in May, have been handed a difficult start to their fourth consecutive Premier League campaign.
The Potters begin with a home match against Chelsea and also have to face Liverpool and champions Manchester United at the Britannia Stadium before the end of September.
"Our home record over the past three years has been absolutely fantastic," said Pulis.
"Everybody will relish the opportunity of playing against Chelsea on the opening day of the season."
