The Potters boss is likely to rest some of the players who earned a point in Sunday's hard-fought Barclays Premier League draw against Arsenal. The Potters boss could bring in the likes of Wilson Palacios and Dean Whitehead, who is back from a one-game suspension to face Paolo Di Canio's side.
"It will be nice for one or two fringe players to play and prove they should be in the team," Pulis told the club's official website. "We'll see how we go but there'll be a few who want to be part of it."
American summer signing Geoff Cameron is expected to be left out after he made his Stoke debut against the Gunners despite only being in the country for a few days.
Pulis also confirmed that winger Matt Etherington will also not feature against npower League One side Swindon due to an injury.
Etherington did not play in the goalless draw against Arsenal as Jermaine Pennant made his return to the side after he recovered from a thigh injury.
Pulis added: "Matty has hurt his hamstring so he will miss the next couple of games."
And Pulis is hoping to improve up front after Stoke were unable to score at home against an Arsenal team who lacked a cutting edge of their own.
He said: "The one area I thought we were a little bit short on was our quality in the final third."
