Potters £12.5m target Loik Remy is only in the Potteries 'for a visit' according to the Frenchman's agent.
Nice striker Remy was jetted into the country this morning on a private jet laid on by Potters chairman Peter Coates, to be given a tour around the training ground by City manager Tony Pulis, but his agent has released a statement saying that a deal 'is not done' and that the Frenchman is just here 'for a visit'.
The statement may be seen as very worrying by the Potters management and supporters, with Liverpool, Tottenham and West Ham all tracking the pacey frontman, with the whole day a possible PR exercise to get the other sides to firm up their interest.
Reports throughout the day have seen the deal progress from possible to some people, mainly on internet message boards, stating the deal is done and dusted but the latest news seems to go against that theory.
However, more positively maybe, the 23-year-old has been seen signing autographs and posing for photographs with City fans down at the clubs Clayton Woods training ground and that could indicate a deal is still very much on the cards, with the player happy with what he has seen so far.
Heres hoping!
