City's Chief Executive Tony Scholes has today confirmed the player's arrival, saying: "I will be meeting the player and his agents next week and getting a full explanation of the reasons for his delayed return.
"As we understand it, Sambegou had some outstanding family issues which he had to deal with. We will hear his explanation and then take any further action which we may consider necessary having heard it.
"We will also be seeking assurances from the player and his agents that this won't happen again."
But Boskamp was, in his usual manner, unable to hold his feelings back!
"He better have a better excuse for me when he gets here" said the angry Boskamp.
"He will not play on Saturday, not unless he comes up with a better excuse."
"If he tries to call now, I switch my phone off," he griped. "The Guinea FA contacted us to say he is coming Friday, but under the rules he should have been here Tuesday because they didn't have a match this week."
You can understand the feeling of the City boss because a transfer fee had been paid which is now believed to be around the £950,000 mark and the striker was due in on tuesday of this week.
