He said: "I've not even seen him train at the club yet as he's just started his pre-season regime. He is well behind the rest of the players in terms of fitness and it will be a good six weeks before he's able to start a game."
Pulis said: "He's not ready to start any games at the moment and needs to build up his fitness and get some training done. It's going to take some time, but he might be able to play some small part in the games."
Meanwhile Genk have made it clear that he is their next transfer target.
