Stoke City captain Ryan Shawcross says the Potters need to be more consistent following their 2-0 win over Liverpool. The success over the Reds came on the back of Stoke's 3-2 victory over Birmingham, but that win was preceded by four successive defeats.
"The win shows that we're doing well but we need to make sure that our form is consistent," the 23-year-old told BBC Radio Stoke.
"We don't want to have dips like we had a couple of weeks ago."
The back-to-back wins have seen Stoke climb from 17th to 10th in the Premier League, and further success against West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns on Saturday could see them rise as high as sixth.
"The league is so close," added Shawcross. "It's a massive league with big teams, but if we carry on as we are then we'll be fine.
"We've been very solid and scored some good goals. We need to take this forward and put in a good performance against a tough team in West Brom, who have surprised a few people."
