Middlesbrough, Charlton, Portsmouth, Fulham and Rangers have all supposedly watched Simonsen in recent weeks and the club's more recent record of five straight clean sheets will surely fatten the price tag should the club decide to sell.
Steve has eighteen months on his contract left, and Sky Sports are suggesting that the club is looking to sign him up on a longer deal.
With Steve as the only established goalkeeper at the club at the moment (bar Robert Duggan) it is unlikely that City would be tempted to sell - especially considering that the club currently sit sixth in the Championship table and with a great chance of making the play-offs or even the top two.
Simmo stoking up interest
Sky Sports is reporting that Stoke's No.1 goalkeeper Steve Simonsen is attracting interest from as many as five top-flight clubs.
