The no nonsense stopper who is known affectionately by the Stoke faithful as The Berlin Wall is reaching the last twelve months of his current deal.
Pulis openly admits that the player is one of the most important at the club and will pull out all the stops in getting him signed up.
The 27 year old has been with the Potters since 2009 and played a major part in Stokes’ rise to the Premier League, since then he has given everything to ensure that the side he plays for stays up.
Pulis knows that the club must act now before the bigger clubs come sniffing around and they prise him away on the cheap.
The Stoke manager told ESPN: "We are desperate to keep Robert at the club and hopefully we can reach an agreement with him soon.
"He's been an integral part of what we've done here and it's always important to look after the players."
Stoke are thought to be ready to re-open negotiations with Huth in the next fortnight.
