"He obviously had a great time at Wednesday and I'm told he's capable of anything", said Pulis.
"He's a big lad, good in the air and clearly knows where the back of the net is.
"We don't want to put any pressure on him because he's still raw, but this is clearly a useful opportunity to see if he's worth pursuing in the future."
Jones is currently on international duty with Trinidad and Tobago for their game against the USA.
