Stoke boss Tony Pulis wants to make Pennant's move permanent when his loan deal runs out at the end of December.
The Potters will no doubt be stunned by the asking price, especially when Zaragoza paid nothing for the player when he was released by Liverpool 18 months ago.

And Pulis is adamant he won't be bowing down to any demands made by the Spanish club.
'We would like Jermaine to stay, but we do have a structure at this club that the chairman and his family want to keep,' he said.
'Theyhave moved heaven and earth at times to get in players we've wanted,but there's no way we will put the club at risk financially.
'If we can do it, brilliant. If we can't, we can't.
'I think Jermaine would love to come and be a part of this club. It's just whether we can do the deal or not.'
Pennant is expected to shake off a hamstring injury in time toface Blackpool on Saturday.
