The Mirror are reporting that striker David Kitson will join Middlesbrough next week.
Kitson has only scored three goals since his £5.5m move from Reading 17 months ago and spent the end of last season back on loan at Reading.
The flame haired striker started this season well though netting against Leyton Orient, Sunderland and Bolton Wanderers before he was dropped against Everton and he has struggled to get back in the side since, with manager Tony Pulus favouring James Beattie and Ricardo Fuller as his strikeforce.
The deal will be a loan move until January when the player and clubs will decide their next move and whether to extend the loan, make it a permanent deal or see Kitson return to Stoke.
