The TEAMtalk Podcast is back for the new Premier League season and it's available to download now - click here!

Your genial host Dave Armstrong is back behind the mic to guide you through the big talking points from the weekend's Premier League action, plus there's the latest transfer talk, European football chat and more.

Joining Dave in the studio this week are TEAMtalk stalwart Jon Holmes and a special guest - Chelsea fan John Baines.

TEAMtalk's Premier League Picks are the starting point for our chat as we debate the action and talk about your team, including:

NEWCASTLE 0 ARSENAL 0 - our panel consider the case against Joey Barton whilst also turning their focus on Alex Song, Gervinho and referee Peter Walton. Who were the guilty parties in the Tyneside tussle?

STOKE 0 CHELSEA 0 - John B was in the away end at the Brit on Sunday and gives us his analysis of Andre Villas-Boas' competitive debut as Chelsea boss. Jon asks: did Stoke's shoving go too far?

WEST BROM 1 MAN UTD 2 - David De Gea's enduring a tough start at United and our trio are divided on whether the new goalkeeper will fit the bill for Fergie - but they're in full agreement on the class of the reinvigorated Wayne Rooney and his new sidekick Ashley Young.

Moving on, John B can't quibble with QPR's deserved 4-0 whipping by Bolton, Jon lectures Liverpool fans on their 1-1 draw with Sunderland, and the boys also select Wolves' Matt Jarvis, Aston Villa's Shay Given and Wigan's Victor Moses among their star performers.

We also reflect on a rowdy afternoon at Elland Road where protesting Leeds United fans turned their vitriol from the direction of Ken Bates onto referee Anthony Taylor, who showed three red cards in the 1-0 Championship defeat by Middlesbrough.

There's also mentions for our favourite match of the weekend - the Supercopa first leg between Real Madrid and Barcelona - and one of the best goals you might have missed, a screamer from League One.

And to wrap up, Jon takes a closer look at Arsenal's midweek Champions League opponents Udinese ahead of their trip to the Emirates. Can Di Natale stun the Gunners or will Arsene's army march on?
