Svetoslav Todorov has been linked with Stoke City for many weeks now and it may be seen as old news. This rumor has intensified recently though as his boss at Portsmouth, Harry Redknapp, has said that he is wanted by The Potters.
Redknapp has been quoted on Sky Sports saying that, "No one has looked after Toddy better than I have. But he needs to play regularly. Leicester want him. Stoke want him.
"At the end of the day it is down to Toddy to decide what he wants to do."
So it appears that it is up to the player to decide whether to renew old connections with Milan Mandaric at Leicester or to play alongside old team mates Andy griffin, Vincent Pericard, and Ricardo Fuller.
Todorov certainly has pedigree at Championship level scoring 27 goals to gain Portsmouth promotion in the 2002/03 season. A series of serious injuries have hampered his progress however and dropping down a level to get regular football may well appeal to him.
It is not yet known whether this move would be a loan in the current season or a permanent one at the end of the season. Either way Todorov would be a welcome addition as he would add quality to any Championship side.
