The Potters are eighth in the table with 20 points from 15 games after Saturday's 1-1 draw with Manchester City at the Britannia Stadium.
That has prompted talk amongst fans of a push for Europe, but Pulis - who guided the Staffordshire outfit into the top flight in 2008 - says that for the time being, his sole focus remains ensuring that the club survives in the division for another year.
"I've always said that it was a three-year plan coming into the Premier League," Pulis told BBC Radio Stoke.
"If we maintain Premier League status for a third year, then we can really push on."
