Stoke are reportedly ready to sell Turkey captain Tuncay to Wigan, in order to bring in Latics winger Charles N'Zogbia.
Frenchman N'Zogbia, 23, has been on the Potters radar all summer but after rejecting Birmingham earlier this week, after they couldn't agree to his £50,000-a-week wages demands, the Potters are hoping that matching his £40,00-a-week Wigan wages will be enough so close to the transfer deadline.
Tuncay has failed to nail down a spot in the Potters first team since arriving from Middlesbrough 12 months ago, and has been linked with Wigan for the majority of the summer, with Hugo Rodallega thought of as the initial part exchange tool.
Although Tuncay has reportedly not been willing to join Wigan so far but with four more months of bench warming facing Tuncay, he may just decide to move.
The move is also supposedly waiting on Eidur Gudjohnsen agreeing to join City, as he will be the like for like replacement for Tuncay.
