The Potters picked up another three points to take themselves to 7th in the table and did so with a performance that was full of pin point passing, great dribbling and accurate crossing, aswell as a lot of strong defending.
Jon Walters got the goal for City but it was his strike partner Kenwyne Jone show shone once again, begoing close on numerous occasions aswell as getting involved in the build up play. His chances were supplied from the wings and Matthew Etherington, who assisted Walters for the goal, was full of running once more aswell as being as dangerous as ever in the final third whilst Jermaine Pennant returned to the side after injury and showed promise once again, putting in some fantastic crosses to go with his defensive work.
The defence got their first clean sheet of the season, the centre backs in particular withstanding a late barrage of high balls to seal the win whilst Danny Collins is growing in confidence week by week.
The midfield battle was won by Stoke and Whitehead and Delap both got through plenty of running, the former seemingly constantly involved and picking up the sponsors Man of the Match award.
