Wilko picked up an ankle injury in the game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, the injury was not helped by the fact that the player had to carry on because all three subs had been used and thanks to Ric, Stoke were already down to ten men.
News around the stadium is that this isn’t a serious injury as such, but it might just be bad enough to keep him out of the starting line up at Anfield.
A close eye will be kept on him and he’ll probably face a late test, but the 27 year old will want to be ready to take his place in the side that are just one step away from the semi final of the competition once again.
Speaking to the Sentinel, Wilkinson said: "I got a bit of a knock right on the bone, so I just had to try to run it off.
"I hate coming off. I had to last time we played when I did my hamstring. It's the worst feeling ever."
