Stoke striker Ben Marshall has returned to Carlisle for a second loan spell. The 18-year-old, who will stay at Brunton Park until January 3, made 20 appearances for the Cumbrians during the second half of last season, scoring three goals. Manager Greg Abbott said: "We know what Ben brings having had him for so long last season and we're delighted to be able to bring him back. "The way we play football at the moment will suit him and he'll give us strength in depth. "He's very focused and he'll come here to do well and we're really looking forward to working with him again." Marshall joined Stoke from Crewe in the summer of 2009 after progressing through the youth ranks at Gresty Road, but has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Potters.
