City's youngsters followed up the midweek win in the FA Youth Cup with an impressive performance and result away at Bolton Wanderers.
Stoke's goal came from a header by defender Craig Sinclair, son of former Potters keeper Ronnie, whilst they also had two goals disallowed for reasons unknown to those in attendance and had a top scorer Louis Moult strike the woodwork in injury time.
Bolton made a good start to the season and drew by the same score at Clayton Woods earlier this season, but were totally outplayed both in this game and the reverse fixture at Stoke.
The draw was all the more impressive as whilst the Potters had the unfamiliar task of a midweek game, complete with 450 plus mile round trip to Carlisle, the hosts had their feet up and had nothing but this game to think about.
The winter break now takes effect, City's next game will be the home match with last seasons unbeaten divisonal winners Manchester City on Saturday 9th January (ko 11am), and have played 13 games, racked up 4 wins, six draws and just three defeats in the league so far.
