Stoke Under 18's were dumped out of the FA Youth Cup last night, succumbing to Wigan by three goals to nil.
The Potters youngsters were behind after just six minutes but it wasn't until the second half that the game was put to bed just after half time when the hosts doubled their advantage and then with five minutes left as Wigan added a third late on.
City will hope to get the result out of their system when they travel to near neighbours Crewe on Saturday, ko 11am.
