Stoke played their first home league game since the beginning of November and got a point from local rivals Crewe.
After the reverse fixture ended 1-1 earlier this season full bragging rights were available but the overnight snow put the game in doubt. The snow was cleared though and the game went ahead.
The Potters were without top scorer Louis Moult, who was with the first team in Portsmouth, but still took the lead through Cameron Mitchell before being pegged back midway through the second half.
