The Potters have indicated they could well be about to pull their reserves out of the Premier Reserve League. The club are unhappy about the amount of travelling they are forced into to make the fixtures after being placed in the southern section, with trips to Portsmouth, West Ham, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and Fulham among the long distance journeys the Potters have had this season.
Pulis has now stated that the club could now pull out of the official league and instead play a string of reserve friendlies, and several clubs have already come forward saying they are willing to provide oppositon.
Another reason for the Potters quiting the league is the club want to play their reserve fixtures at the Clayton Woods training complex on a Tuesday afternoon, whilst the Premier League rules mean there are certain stadium criteria that have to be met and the Potters have little say over dates and kick off times.
