7 min: Delap first throw in and it causes mass panic. Half cleared to Whelan whose rasping effort is deflected over by diving block by Carragher
12 min: Whitehead catches Mascherano late and is first name into the book
21 min: Stoke well worked free kick just fails to produce clear chance. Electric break ends with Insua putting a simple tap in wide from 6 yards
26 min: Insua collects long pass and fizzes shot in from acute angle. Sorenson has near post covered and simple save
28 min: Delap second throw sees Reina come and claim, at the third attempt following two fumbles
30 min: Another Delap rocket is flicked on by Beattie but nobody from either side is at the far post, a Stoke mplayer would have had the simplest of tap ins
31 min: Cross is half cleared by Faye. Johnson running in sneaks past Whelan and smashes shot inches wide
32 min: Faye burst forward and Lucas slides in to bring down the captain and give Stoke a free kick on the edge of the area. From the free kick Beattie beats the offside trap but is wrongly flagged
41 min: Johnson manages to hurdle a terrible tackle from Cresswell right on the edge of the area. Winger lucky to escape without a caution but free kick comes to nothing
44 min: Ignoring Benayoun's calls Kuyt sends a bobbling effort ion from 20 yards. Sorenson easily holds
45 min: Torres twists and turns but can't escape Shawcross. Strikers shot is blocked out for a corner.
45 min: GOAL! Corner is whipped in and after Kuyt fails to score Johnson scissor kicks ball in from close range
HT: That second goal has probably killed the game off for Stoke, but never say never but the Potters will no doubt have to unleash Fuller and Lawrence early in the second half to get a way back in
46 min: Delap throw wins corner, which wins another corner, Ayala then heads past Reina but over bar for another corner. Potters pushing straight from restart
47 min: Third successive corner is half cleared to Delap. The Irish international unleashes a thunderbolt from 16 yards and somehow Reina gets down to push ball away from just inside far post. Incredible save!!
50 min: Beattie runs and crosses. Delap dives in at near post and Johnson has to put ball behind with Cresswell lurking behind waiting for chance
54 min: Gerrard gets room to get shot in from 25 yards. Sorenson spills ball but all Kuyt, with an open goal, can do is spoon ball up and Sorenson is able to get to his feet and claim the ball
57 min: Kuyt breaks down right side of area. Low ball across 6 yard box goes past everyone as no Liverpool player gets in the mixer to tap in
58 min: Beattie sees Reina off his line and shoots from inside his own half but keeper back peddles for easy catch

78 min: GOAL!! Fantastic build up play before Gerrard collects ball and spins Etherington before putting ball across six yard box. Kuyt slides in and nudges ball into net for third
87 min: Voronin controls long ball, makes room for shot, scuffed shot rolls to Sorenson
90+4 min: GOAL!! Johnson crosses from on the byline. Sorenson dives to stop ball going straight in from what looked impossible angle. Ball falls to Ngog who taps in from 2 yards.
