Player Ratings: Arsenal 1-0 Stoke

Last updated : 26 February 2011 By Dan Buxton

Asmir Begovic - 7 - No chance with the goal but on his toes to divert away danger on more than one occasion

Marc Wilson - 7 - Good solid performance. Calm on the ball and looking to start attacks from the back. Got booked late on for a frustrated tackle and was subbed straight away

Danny Pugh - 6 - Had a bit of a mare as he was caught like the proverbial rabbit in the headlights when on the ball. Solid enough defensively

Ryan Shawcross - 7 - Did very well under the pressure and attention thrust upon him on his first appearance versus Arsenal since the Ramsey incident. Tackled well, kept the ball well and won everything in the air. Went close to equalising

Robert Huth - 7 - Solid at the back and like Shawcross came within a whisker of equalising the scores with a header that skimmed the crossbar

Jermaine Pennant - 7 - Was the Potters main outlet in midfield and triwd to get involved whenever possible. Put in some great crosses and had a good game, although decision making did let him down on occasion

Rory Delap - 7 - Throw ins were dangerous and he also put himself about, never let the opposition have any time on the ball and gave the ball to people more capable on it

Glenn Whelan - 6 - Had a very poor first half but improved after the break. Seemed scared to put a tackle in at times and let people run past him with ease but looked more and more likely to be involved in an equaliser as the game wore on.

Dean Whitehead - 8(Man of the Match) - Fantastic preformance against much bigger names in the Arsenal midfield as 'Deano' got stuck in, kept the ball well and as always showed a great engine to never stop running

Jon Walters - 8 - Ran his socks off, never stopped pressurising the home defence. Played out on the left and up front and just gets on with his job. Good in the air aswell as on the deck

John Carew - 8 - Was horribly isolated for the first half an hour but still won everything in the air. Got more support as the game went on and was able to be the base for the Potters attacks. Unlucky with a 35 yard screamer in the first half that the keeper saved at full stretch

Ricardo Fuller - 6 - Brought on to try and help the Potters get the equaliser but was unable to really get his teeth into the home defence

Andy Wilkinson - 6 - Came on late on, mainly to help Wilson avoid a sending off, and kept the ship tight
