Thomas Sorenson - 8 - Made crucial saves at crucial times and was unlucky with both strikes taking late deflections off defenders that took the ball away from the dive of the keeper
Andy Wilkinson - 8(Man of the Match) - Strong display and played fantastically well against Drogba, who kept dropping onto the right back in the hope of an easier ride. Never got overawed and also managed to keep Malouda, Anelka and Kalou quiet when they tried to get past the brick wall that was Wilko
Robert Huth - 8 - Was strong throughout and kept the most awkward striker in the world at bay whilst also getting his head on a couple of set pieces at the other end
A.D. Faye - 7 - Much improved performance on this seasons outings. Stood up to the task on his return to the side, and even with a few nervy moments, looked solid.
Danny Collins - 8 - Coped well with the Chelsea attackers and also linked up with midfield, keeping the ball well and getting forward when allowed to.
Rory Delap - 7 - Long throws were ineffective but he put himself about, never gave up and kept going to the end. Neat touches aswell at times
Dean Whitehead - 7 - Put himself about as usual and was much better in the centre of midfield compared to the wing. Passed the ball well, keeping it moving without anything too adventurous.
Glenn Whelan - 6 - Withdrawn before half time with a hamstring injury. Looked ok in the opening exchanges, keeping the midfield ticking over and getting in the faces of the Chelsea players
Tuncay - 5 - Never got into the game and struggled against the physical Chelsea defence. Not given any time and failed to make an impact as a result
Mama Sidibe - 5 - Didn't contribute as he was overpowered by Terry and Alex and also struggled to create and panic when chasing the ball.
Ricardo Fuller - 7 - Cut a lonely figure before Kitson came on but battled on gamely and looked on a couple of occasions like he was going to penetrate the defence but struggled against the powerful defenders
Danny Pugh - 6 - Came on and gave a lot of effort but couldn't make an impression on the game, outclassed by the Chelsea midfielders
Liam Lawrence - 5 - Came on but couldn't get going in a game that had already been lost. Not easy to try and break down a strong back line that has a two goal lead.
David Kitson - 7 - Hitman came on and immediately set about putting himself about, playing some neat flicks and looking dangerous. Recent cameo surely deserve a run in the side alongside Fuller starting on Wednesday
