Asmir Begovic - 7(Man of the Match) - Played well and despite major error for the first goal he recovered with numerous fantastic saves to keep the scores respectable.
Marc Wilson - 7 - Had a decent game at right back as, yet again, he was asked to lump ball after ball 60 yards down the field
Danny Pugh - 5 - Not his best game as he is starting to struggle in top flight games at full back. Not quick enough or strong enough to deal with Premier League wingers.
Ryan Shawcross - 5 - Seemed flustered and out of sorts as the giants in the Hammers attack ran riot
Robert Huth - 5 - Far from his best game as he was pulled apart by Ba and co, one of many to have an off day
Jermaine Pennant - 7 - Was the best Potters player on the pitch, causing the Hammers defence many problems, until he was strangely hauled off after less than an hour
Rory Delap - 5 - Never got in the game as he struggled to keep up with the Hammers midfield trio
Dean Whitehead - 6 - Had a very quiet game, a major off day for the midfielder, as he struggled to get his usually non stop engine going
Glenn Whelan - 5 - Restored to the starting line up and had a very disappointing game, not influencing the game at all and struggling to cope with the Hammers midfield trio
Jon Walters - 6 - Ran his socks off as normal but with little reward. Really struggled to make an impact on the West Ham backline
John Carew - 6 - Put himself about but was majorly off form, won a few headers but looks increasingly frustrated at the tactics and being asked to play 40 yards in front of everyone else. He can win headers but has nobody no head the ball to
Matthew Etherington - 6 - Looked to get involved and give the Potters a lifeline but struggled with his sharpness after time out injured. Hopefully will be back on song soon
Kenwyne Jones - 6 - Got stuck in after coming on and twice went close to getting the Potters the goal they needed to keep them in the game. Seems to have turned a corner
Ricardo Fuller - 5 - Looks very disinterested at the moment and didn't seem to want to be there after coming on as a sub. None of the usual drive
