Player Ratings: Wigan 1-1 Stoke

Last updated : 11 February 2010 By Dan Buxton

Thomas Sorenson - 6 - Didn't have a lot to do but didn't really have a chance with the goal and looked solid throughout

Andy Wilkinson - 6 - Struggled early on and was switched to the left side. pace came in handy and got himself out of trouble on a couple of occasions but not one of his most commanding diplays

Danny Higginbotham - 5 - Disappointing after his recent performances. Was better once he got switched to the middle but looked more than awkward at full back

Ryan Shawcross - 7 - Picked up an early booking and was caused problems by Rodallega when the ball was fed to the striker. Was on hand a few times to block efforts on goal

Robert Huth - 6 - Picked up another booking and struggled early on with Scotland and Rodallega. Improved at right back but nothing special

Dean Whitehead - 7 - Played out on the right and was more than willing to bomb down the wing when he could but his play was more in defence first half, he spent a lot of time on the left wing trying to contain Figueroa. When he moved into the middle his performance level rose and he showed how good he is

Matthew Etherington - 8 - Another assist for the wing wizard. Was shifted from left to right throughout but didn't let it affect him and he showed he can be dangerous on the right wing aswell as the left. Was better in his natural position though and nearly got another assist in the dying stages as Beattie went close

Glenn Whelan - 5 - Worst game he has ever had for Stoke! He struggled to get oin the game, stood off the opposition and passing was wayward

Rory Delap - 6 - Stormed around the pitch first half, putting in the hard yards to pressure the opposition. Withdrawn for Fuller to allow Whitehead to move back into the middle.

Mama Sidibe - 5 - Missed near enough everything in the air, funnily the only header he won all day went nowhere as Fuller had run behind him expecting it to come through. Hit the bar with a simple header but strangely turned away from it as it struck the woodwork when he could have had a simple tap in

Tuncay - 7 - Scored a good header after missing two easier chances earlier on. Came in unmarked off the wing for the goal and could give Pulis another option in the future. When up front he was dangerous and the only way he was stopped was by foul play

Ricardo Fuller - 8(Man of the Match) - Totally changed the game as he was willing to run at the opposition and with bookings already handed out the defence didn;t know how to stop him. Great penetrating run for the goal and other runs and touches set about many Potters attacks

James Beattie - 6 - Was nearly a hero when he came on as his shot was struck too well and Kirkland dived to parry it away, Shanked and it probably would have gone in. Won a couple of flick ons aswell as he looked dangerous and up for it

Liam Lawrence - 6 - Linked up well with the midfield and attackers and a great dummy drew the defender away from Beattie for the strikers late chance. Should have been on a lot earlier than he was
