The Potters ended pre-season with a goalless draw, but more worryingly with Ricardo Fuller awaiting news from the FA after he was sent off in the second half for violent conduct.
Fuller was dismissed by the referee, who was picky throughout, for raising his hand to the hosts left back Neil Ashton, after pushing and shoving between the pair.
If Fuller is suspended some next Saturdays season opener then Tuncay showed he is more than ready to deputise as he was involved from start to finish at the Racecourse Ground.
The Turkish striker nearly had an assist after just three minutes when he slipped in Danny Collins but the defender was denied by a sprawling save from Scott Shearer in the home goal.
He was then denied a goal by the linesman flag, deemed offside after pouncing at the far post. He continued to dominate though and Delap was next to benefit, latching onto Tuncay's pass before smashing the ball over the bar.
All this happenned in the opening ten minutes and Wrexham showed they were there for a game when powerful header forced Begovic into a fine save, diving full stretch to his left.
Danny Collins was still looking for an opening Potters strike, and was denied twice in a matter of seconds by the brave home defence. Fuller was dangerous without being continually involved but a number of niggly fouls culminated, for the first time, in a confrontation between Fuller and Ashton, the ref whistling for half time as a way of diffusing the stand off after a late tackle from the Wrexham man.
Stoke came out for the second half but seemed to be switching their attentions more and more towards next weeks season opener at Wolves. That said Shawcross did go close with a header, prior to Fuller's dismissal on the hour mark, before Tuncay rounded off an impressive personal performance with two more efforts, although both were watched wide by the home keeper.
